路易丝·厄德里克（Louise Erdrich, 1954— ），出生于美国明尼苏达州，父亲是德裔美国人，母亲是北美龟山原住民保护区的奥吉布瓦族人，双亲皆长年服务于部落居留地的印第安事务学校，外祖父曾任部落酋长。路易丝·厄德里克是美国当代最多产、最重要、最有成就的作家之一，是美国印第安文艺复兴运动第二次大潮的代表人物，曾先后获纳尔逊·阿尔格伦短篇小说奖、苏·考夫曼奖、欧·亨利短篇小说奖、全国书评家协会奖、《洛杉矶时报》小说奖和司各特·奥台尔历史小说奖等文学大奖，目前她已出版了二十余部作品，她的第一部青少年小说《桦树皮小屋》曾被台湾有关部门推荐为中小学生优良课外读物，《爱药》是她的成名作和代表作。
